i heard lionshare was another limewire. what is it and is it like limewire?

I haven't previously heard about it. A google found this which describes its initiation: http://lionshare.its.psu.edu/main/ & this.
Here's more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LionShare so it does seem it's based on LimeWire.
