Someone PLEASE help ME!!!!
 

There is a corruption in my limewire. It told me to uninstall and reinstall but the problem remains. I only bought the stupid computer so I could have my music (big music worshipper) and now it won't work. Someone, anyone, PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Well apparently you don't want to uninstall using the Control Panel, you want to find Limewire by going to Start >> All Programs >> Limewire >> Uninstall

Did you do it like that?

I am not sure what exactly the problem is. Could you be more specific about the corruption error?

1. Use the Add/Remove control panel to remove all your Java versions. Then reinstall Java using the "Offline" installer which is about 15 MB to downld; Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

2. Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.)

3. You can do as trevor57 suggested by uninstalling LW. Then download the "Offline" LW installer from here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

Okay, so this is what's happenning:
I unistalled by going into start then programs then limewire then uninstall. Then I re-installed it, but I'm having the same problem. This is how the message reads:

"Fatal Error. Limewire has encountered a fatal internal error and will now exit. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading and installing Limewire again. To aid with debugging,please click send to notify limewire about the problem. If desired you can click review to look at the information that will be sent. If the problem persists, please copy and paste the review message and send it to bugs@limewire.com"

So I did that and no one has gotten back to me. I'm using limewire basic and I'm borderline computer illiterate. Someone please help me!
