Irish/4 Leaf Clover/Lucky(thats GOOD) I thought i was Irish/4leaf Clover/Lucky& thats GOOD! BUT LW says Iam a {leaf node shielded by an ultrapeer} WOW! ? is that GOOD?/BAD? ? should I aspire to become a non-leaf node? ? how about a leaf node NOT shielded by an ultapeer? or maybe with lots of work and LUCK an Ultrapeer who then shields my own leaf nodes? Or maybe an Ultraleaf with or without shielded peers? { AND someone said LW didn't have a sense of humor!} { please respond with something I can take to the coffee shop!{ they don't believe am now a {leaf node shielded by an ultrapeer!!!} Iam I LUCKY or WHAT? |
lol Ultrapeers are computers that help you to connect to the gnutella network. They also filter out unnecessary traffic. So only your searches, uploads, downlds are what you're interested in when in leaf mode. The gnutella decides when & who becomes an ultrapeer which may depend on users free bandwidth & speed & whether more UP's are needed. Ultrapeers help people connect to the network which is more valuable than uploading files. So don't feel bad about being a leaf. thanks..(i did this and also the pdf file) next question(as a GREEN(yuk-yuk) leaf...can a new leaf talk to their ultrapeer? {joking aside...something is going wrong! i have pro4.10.9...ok files go up and down...loaded the beta pro 4.11.1 files come down but nothing up(yes..iread the forums and checked the setting on pro 10( they look alike) would my shielding ultrapeer have something to do with this? thanks{ps. this has the making of a good movie!} |
You'll do better with LW 4.11.2 than 4.11.1 (this version has some bugs.) If you're having problems connecting, etc. yes, closing LW & re-opening can sometimes change UP's thus get better connections. BTW you could always send a Chat message to the ultrapeer. :D Ultrapeers can apparently see traffic passing in their monitor window but it goes so fast that ... |
