I keep downloading mpg video files off of limewire, and when i try putting them on...

I downloaded mpg and mpeg music video files off of limewire, and when i try putting them on my ipod, they werent there! someone told me to only use mpeg4 and H.264 files, but when i search for stuff like Promiscuous Girl and Hips Dont Lie all that come up are:
mpeg
mp4
mpg

And for the record, i have 30gb black video ipod, brand new, i bought it yesterday. It really bugs me b/c my uncle and aunt work @ EDS and neither no what to do about it. I've been told i can use limewire for videos, it works for songs, so i dont see why? Please help me... thank you so much for anyone that helps, its been really frustrating and complicated for such a little thing.

I don't have an ipod( I have a Dell DJ) but after you download the songs try saving the songs as a itunes playlist in your itunes player then try putting it your ipod. Not sure it work but try.

nikkiw56241,
There's some good info here about video to iPod (don't be put off by the thread title;))
Transferring music to iPod & iTunes

You'll probably need to convert the video to the correct format. I use 3GP converter, Videora is another one. There's a link for Videora above. Below is some info about using 3GP

I have an ipod video as well. You want music videos? Just download whatever music vid from limewire in any format. Then just convert it using 3gp converter. http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=3GP_Converter

In the actual converter screen, make it mp4, model for iPod. Drag whatever file you want in it, and it'll come out in iTunes and will be in the proper format.
