Mmmm grandpa one of the most respected members around here from myself (and others i assume) i knew that u were previously a supporter of norton id seen it in some of your previous posts im shocked to find out u still are i thought wiv the passage of time u would have come round to the obvious truth, its entirly baffling to me how someone who appears to have so much computer sense as urself can find this program equal to other decent avs or even to poor performing ones, 1 of the reasons id never revealed this info in any of your previous boasts of nortons performance threads was because i didnt wanna get into a argument over it, some people defend norton faithfully i was one of them till found out its real performance, then it was a case of (i see said the blind man). Some day you will see aswell im sure, then again maybe not fella we all have weaknesses right even you. However the (daydo is full of it) was not necessary "i do not agree" or "im right and everone else is wrong" would have done. But still plenty of respect left from my side anyway. L8z m8. |
Hey What happened to my reply to Grandpa & Cyberstalker? It should have been in just after Grandpa's post. Did a moderator zap it? If so, I would like to know why? UK Bob |

I had Mcafee for over a year and never had any complaints. So if Angry Pirate can get it for free then i would stick with it. I use Sygate FW and Avast AV now and I still don't have any complaints, and the price is right:). |
Thanks for all the help guys. I have learned a lot from your posts. I'm sorry that this thread seems to have caused a bit of an uproar but I figured the people here would give better more reliable input then some random employee of a company who probably doesn't use LimeWire and would have no idea how to help me. |
It didn't cause no problems. I know what test I have run. By the way one of my PCs runs Norton and one runs AVG my laptop runs Avast. None of them get infected. I run regular hijack this logs and know they are all clean. :D |
I rekon Mcafee is better, Here in NZ we can get it from our service provider & it updates daily. this 1 is a cost of approx $15 per month in the phone bill Nortons only lasts for 1yr n then you have to spend more money to get an updated disk at a cost of around $70NZD. I myself prefer Mcafee, but it's up to the individual which programme they choose. |
Do NOT use two Virus programs at the sametime. You have to keep paying for these programs to get updates. They usually install demos of them with your computer software so I suggest you buy something reliable and that updates it's defs on a daily basis and DO NOT download them from P2P. Cheers. |
Do I need to download some kind of language conversion program to decipher the text from Daydo??? |
By the way daydo you were correct I should have said daydo's test may have been flawed. Instead of daydo is full of it. |
