How does the sound of doors get in?
 

The sound of a door opening or closing. Is that the technical category of a pop-up? I can't associate it with any open window or file. Is it a popup without a visual? Is it from the sponsor Magnetmix? It can't be stopped without some kind of shutdown. Do you know, or guessing? There used to be an obnoxious voice saying Hello-o-o-o, that was from a fake site in search and had a window.

Oh, I'm talking about something that obviously gets into the computer from the Internet. You haven't heard that on yours?

Maybe it's the sound of the door closing after a virus has come in:D
Have you run an AV scan lately?

There were no "viruses". The sound persists every few minutes. Had it yesterday and other days, not today.

I don't use any messenger. Door was both opening and closing. Anyway my system went down due to a virus from gnutella, now I'm back on, and haven't had the sound again yet. I hope to start a new thread about that virus right now if they would ALLOW me to post a new thread. I believe the virus was a video file of TNA wrestling about Abyss vs Sabu, 1.2 KB mp4. It's still on the network. Let's hear about it. OH I don't mean this virus was causing the door.

BTW I have many, many, many cd's of special FX. All the more all the merrier! lol :D Certainly tricked my cat ... got really confused & tried to attack one of the speakers.

I did have Yahoo messenger installed at the time but never used it or made contacts. Is it possible? I thought it followed some downloaded popup ads. All I ever did with messenger was try to make it disappear or delete. Got Yahoo music engine and they pile everything on. This time when rebuilding my system I didn't install messenger.
And what's with the notes at the bottom of these pages saying I may or may not post?
Now it said I can't post replies but I got this on. But couldn't see a way to start a new thread. OOps, now it suddenly says I may post a thread.
Well my old system is all replaced so no checkups needed there, thanks.
