Couldn't get on the forum
 

What happened guys, i've been trying to get back into the forum for the last few months, but all I got was a blank white page with

Forum Unavailable (forgive the spelling it's early getting ready for work)

Any ideas????

Don't know why you couldn't get on the forum. They did switch servers a while back and also the forums crashed back in May, but don't know why you couldn't get on:confused:.

Anyways welcome back and don't be a stranger;) :).

It could be someone used the miserable user thing on him.

Likewise I'm having problems getting onto another forum at the moment. :D

Likewise here with a Vietnamese forum I visit regularly:confused:

Do you all use FF browser??

No not on the mac. Edit: I tried FF on windows & it couldn't connect to that site either.

Hmm, pretty strange, cause the only way to get to that forum is to play around with the FF Tools>Option>Language moving Vietnamese characters up and down.
Otherwise I'll get stuck at the pre-entree site which they've installed to prevent DDOS attacks.....:confused:

For the welcome back, but as it was I couldn't get on the forum well :)

But as to the question from foolofthehill, i'm now using firefox, as it's the only way I can get on most of the time, Microsoft seem to have went **** :rolleyes:

That IE7 is useless, can't access half the websites I used to, but saying that sometimes firefox can't get on :confused:

I was begining to think it was my Isp starting to block some of the sites I like to visit like this one, but as Lord of the Rings is having probs as well it seems it's probably not them, ah well have to keep looking for the cause.

Think I may have found the cause for not getting on the forum
Took off IE7 and seem to be getting on the forum a lot better, windows seems to be running better as well, been running tests taking off and installing the software on the machine, nothing, but when I took off IE7, got the above results. Will keep on testing

I installed IE7 a little while back ran it for a few days and got rid of it..
I had trouble getting into a lot of sites...
I didn't lke it at all....;)

But this computer I've got is being a bit of a pig :(

Also got some work commitments, that need to be met, I totally agree that IE7 is rubbish, even though it's got tabbed browsing, which you can get in Firefox anyway

I have uninstalled the following programs before I was able to get back into the forum full time

Silent Hunter 3
Starship Troopers (The new One)
Age Of Sail 2
All of Office xp the new ver: except Word and access
Anti Virus Program: AVG free edition ver 7

For Firefox

took out add ons

Browster
Flashgot
NoScript
AddLock
Wizz RSS News Reader
Torrent Search Bar
Also Took out another one but can't remember it's name, it had, something to do with zooming pictures in websites

Add ons still installed are

IE Tab: 1.0.9.5
Tab Mix Plus: 0.3.0.5
Fasterfox: 1.0.3
Google Tool Bar For Firefox: 2.0.20060606W
