ID Tag Question

I am uncertain if this is a bug or not

while all of my audio files indeed either have and ID1 or ID2 tag for my files.
It appears as though if the file name contains certain characters (i.e. [] square brackets and others) the information will not display in the left hand window, is this correct?

The files do show within the main screen, or do I not have something correctly set for parsing?
