movie downloads

question, once i download a movie is there a way to burn it to cd? I have quicktime does that allow u to burn?

Yes, you can burn movies. But only to DVD's. Dont think quicktime lets you, but Nero and DVDSanta do. You gotta pay to use them though.

you could put it on a cd just as a data file...

da1nonly July 6th, 2006 10:30 PM

but you cant watch it like that

trevor57 July 7th, 2006 07:44 AM

correct. if you put it as a data file you could only watch it on a computer.

Some people here in the forum advise to use DVD Santa:

I personally use Nero to burn my CD's/DVD's.

There are also some free burning programs, though I don't know about their quality:

You would be surprise to see what even some on the cheapest DVD-players can play.

My sister took some of my burned DVD data copies to an electronics store and bought a DVD-player that can play most of the regular formats you get from Limewire for little over $100. And since things are expensive in the Faroes you would probably get it for less in other countries :)

So you can watch videos on a DVD player of different formats and on a CD?

Don't know about data-cd's. I always burn data-DVD's. It plays VCD and SVCD for sure. I said so on the box

She tried DivX 5.2. XviD with and without AC3 audio and MPEG video. They all worked flawlessly
