Hi,
What is it that makes LW find more files than any other Gnu app? I look for .avi files using LW (searching by name, btw), and I find X number of files. Using any other Gnutella app, I cannot find those same files, or anywhere near the same number of hits. This has been so for more than 2 years I've been using Gnu apps, regardless of ports, time of day, version of the apps, or any other variable I can identify. This has been my repeatable and consistent experience. I've tried other apps but keep coming -- reluctantly -- back to LW. It's a dog on my old computer, but I see no other choice. Why is LW so much better at accessing files? Don't all Gnu apps have the same access to the distributed data base of p2p files? Thanks, dave Mac OS 10.3.9 LW Pro 4.11.0 Last edited by davecc3; July 14th, 2006 at 08:02 AM. |
