If it's just for Backup/Saving then you can fit appox. 4.38 GB on a DVD. So no problem there.

If on the other hand you want something that will play in your DVD player. Then you need a program like Nero or DVD-Santa or similar. You will experience loss of quality if you try to fit more than 2 hours on 1 DVD-disk

You may need do the conversion at first, convert them to dvd, then burn them.
If you want to have only one file, you need merge them into one when do the conversion.I recommend WinAVI to you.It can help you do this.

WinAVI is a very good program, but I'm not really sure if it will convert Mpeg files to DVD. You should check it out before buying.

Nero is quite good in my oppinion. You can get a free trial at www.nero.com
