Browsing via IP address

I started a download, but the host seems to be on-line sporadically, or some connection problem occurs. It's been weeks, and I still haven't completed this file.

How can I determine the host's IP? When I do a search, the file isn't found. Is there a way to discover the IP of the host by looking at the incomplete file? I've looked at all menus and such and don't see this.

Also, once I find the IP, can I do a reverse IP lookup and send the owner an e-mail asking for the file directly?

Thanks!

If they are online, browse them. That will give their ip. Then at later times, you can try direct connect searching for them. No other method afaik. I keep a note of particular users that have many files I'm interested in.
