 When that feature was first introduced we immediately got a flood of people sharing whole folders of DLLs and other junk from Windows or various large programs. They never went away after that but fortunately the open sharing nature of gnutella prevailed. Because ratios and other forms of trading selfishness were never really pursued the amount of junk sharing leveled off.  |
