me and my friend have been trying to download **** by *******, and it downloads for us, but it's just a blank file. Like if i play it theres no audio and the little green bar at the bottom right of the screen doesnt even show that its playing. This isnt only on my comp either, its on two of hers too. I've tried downloading from different sources but it doesnt work.

There are two possible causes.
The first is that you have a codecs issue with this file. To check on this download the free VLC player with built-in codecs. If that can't play the file then we can consider the second possibility; that is: the file is a faked one hosted by those who want to discourage people from downloading files via the Gnutella network.
