You are not telling me details AGAIN !!!

Does that mean that you tried everything in my post. Including talking to your ISP about the problem ????

Did it start working and stopped again, or did I get that all wrong ????

ya i kinda do stuff like that but the details are exactly the same ive tryed changing my listening port number and it didnt work and yes it is correct that it started working when i did what you told me to then i got off the internet went on the next day and it stoped working again

This is really weird

Nothing should have changed just by turning your PC off and then back on the next day.

Could you try and check if the TCP and UDP exceptions are still there, and also check if the new settings in Limewire also are still there.

If they are then try doing the same thing again just with a higher number (between 49152 and 65535), allthough I can't imagine an ISP that will use portblocking on a dial-up service

Connection

ok now i go to connections and this message pops up it says

your machine does not appear to have an active internet connection or a fire wall is blocking Lime Wire from acsessing the internet then it say it will keep trying to connect unles i say not to

Sleepless August 20th, 2006 06:32 PM

Is your internet connection unreliable as a whole?

The last time I got that message was when my internet kept going down and then starting up again. I have since then changed ISP and my router

Try and talk to your ISP

This is not normal that it will start working after changing some settings and then dying again without you doing anything
