What's with the numbers in parentheses?

I've been using Limewire for a long time. It's been good to me. The past couple weeks when I do a search, in the tab at the top where what I'm searching for is, instead of just getting the number of hits, I'm getting the the number of shown and number of hits in parentheses. For example, I'm searching for artist: "joe smith", song: "I suck", if there are 105 hits and 10 being shown it looks like this: "i suck joe smith (10/105)".

Why is it now only showing me a small fraction of the hits it gets when a couple weeks ago it was showing them all? Does it have something to do with me not enabling uploads? Anybody know what to do to get it to show them all again?

Thanks in advance.

Still looking for an answer. Does any one have any ideas?

The other ones are being filtered

Either the junkfilter or keywordfilter or if you chose on the side e.g. one genre or one artist etc.

I'll have to check that out tomorrow. I never chose to enable either filter. I like weeding out the bad hits myself. Thanks for your feedback.

It turns out I did have the junk filter on. and it turns out a lot of what is kicked out as junk really isn't. I DLed a few files that were labeled so and they were fine. I don't know why LW thinks some good files are trash. Anyway, Thanks again, Sleepless.

And so the war between good and bad files continues.....
Surely if the junk idea is scraped and a file size output limit were put in place one would have more control over what we come up with on searching.....

Debating this matter might result in a good idea popping up....

The junk filter does not filter out anything unless you train it to filter out certain things. If you select the wrong ones to filter out then it will not work well later. You can untrain it by going to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Filters>Junk Filter ...
Be sure what you add to the filter is actually junk! It is a dynamic learning filter so if you train it the wrong way it will make mistakes. Just be sure what you add to the filter "is" actually junk / spam. ;) :)

Um, I belive you're talking about the locations of the same file - as aposed to acutall hits.

Although I can't remeber >_>
