Is it possible to search for a host if you know their host id? Thanks

You can attempt to direct connect to them. But if they're on a network & have ip's starting with either 10.xxxx or 192.xxx then you won't be able to. To direct connect both you & them need to have their firewalls properly configured for LW's full access, ... free upload & downld slots & bandwidth can also play a big part. More about this ...
