All screwed up

I'm new here. I know this has probably been covered a million times. But about 4-5 months ago I downloaded a few of those file types you guys warned about (e.g. WMA) and my computer has finally reached the point where the popups are just nonstop. I'm infected with Spyworm.Win32. I have a "balloon" on my screen as I speak. It says "System Alert: Malware threats...Your computer is infected with a back door Trojan...yadda, yadda. There's 3 different balloons like this, all with a similar message. My computer currently has Norton, Security Troubleshooter, WinAntivirus, and AntivirusGolder. I ran one of these and it says I have 80 "viruses" from LIMEWIRE.
My question: What do I need to do to get my computer back to normal (get rid of all this spyware crap)? Do I need to delete my music or LIMEWIRE? Whatever it takes, I don't care. Although I would eventually like to use Limewire again. At least now I know which files to avoid. If someone can just give me a link to answer this question (I'm sure it's been answered a million times), I'd really appreciate it.

Hi totalrod2,
You might want to look at some of the antispyware you're using. Check out the link below & you'll see that WinAntivirus & Antivirus Golden (I'm guessing it was a typo because I can't find anything about Antivirus Golder) are on the list of rogue/suspect antispyware. I couldn't find any info at all about Security Troubleshooter.

Now I'm not saying you don't have something bad on your computer, just that the programs you're using might be showing false positives (ie telling you that there's spyware when in fact there's not). Have a look through the thread below. It has links to some really good, free programs that can be trusted. Two I use are Spybot & Ad-Aware (both free).
WARNING: Viruses on the network you should be aware of

If you're concerned, you should go to Norbiesworld. There's a link to his site (point 5) in that thread. He offers free computer help & will be able to check out your computer & help you remove any nasties that might be around

Just out of interest, is your NAV picking up any viruses?

Sorry it took so long to respond. The truth is, I've been getting help from the Tech Support Guy forums and just spent almost 7 hours cleaning up my computer today! The last thing I ran was ActiveScan which says I still have 3 spyware programs which need to be removed (WinAntiVirus Pro 2006, Owner@207, and Owner@statcounter). They wanted me to post the latest results of my HijackThis log, ActiveScan log, ewido log, and smitfraud log (yep, I had to download all those programs today). Unfortunately, I accidently deleted the last 2 logs. I'm probably just too tired, so I'm calling it a day. I'll finish this mess tomorrow. :sleep_2:
