AVI files Hi there I'm new to this, and I don't know how to make the AVI files to play on WMP, I have Windows XP. May somebody help me please?!! Can't play the movies that are AVI.:( |
Might be a codecs issue.... You could try to use a different media player such as the free VLC player with built-in codecs which can play almost all media files without problems. You can downlaod it from here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ As a side note, to preview files with it you'll have to open the files directly from the Incomplete folder and not via the LW preview function. :Smilywais: |
I like VLC and Real. |
which one would i download i live in USA? so would i down load the one with the American flag? sorry for the stupid ? but im really not for sure!!! thanks |
ok i'v downloaded it, but now when i go and click on the movie i want to play nothing happens.. is their a place where i can go to find out how the vlc works? sorry for all the stupid ?'s, and thanks alot for helping me... |
sorry....:( |
Make VLC your default player |
You could also download the DivX codec. Your avi files should play fine in WMP if that codec is installed. |
Would codec issues be the reason why avi files on my WMP play, but only audio. Running WMP 10.0 |
Yes We often recommend VLC player because it has in-built codecs. |
