Transfering songs from LW to Itunes

Hi all,
i read every thread about transfering songs from lw to it, but i still don't understand. when i have them both open (version 6 for lw and 4.12 for itunes) i see "_____ lw tunes", but i can't drag or import them into my library. help?:yikes:

No you can't. The LW playlist in iTunes is simply a playlist. You can play them but can't copy or burn them. That's because the files are still sitting in your LW download folder. So ... use the techniques suggested. eg: Go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. Then select these files & add them to the Library (or Music) icon at the very top of LW's playlists. Hold down SHIFT key whilst you select so you can select them all at once. ;) :)

Transfering songs from LW to IT

Thanks for the reply. I understand how to go to the "saved files" folder and hit the explore button and even highlight all the songs in there, i just dont know what exactly to do next? In your post you say to put them in the "LW" library folder atop of the rest of the playlist. do you mean IT library folder? If so, do I cut and paste after highlighting them? I tried that and it didin't work. So once they r highlighted, what exactly next?

And also, why does the LW folder sometimes show up in It and sometimes not?

Thank u for you r help and patience.

No I didn't say the LW playlist in iTunes. I said the Library icon (if you have iTunes 7 it's now called Music) icon at the very top of the iTunes playlists. Library contains all your music.

Drag & drop them onto the Library icon. That's my prefered way of doing it.

Oh hold on, you're trying to drag them from LW are you? I thought you were trying to drag them from the download folder after opening it up.

Also, I like to have the Date Added column showing in iTunes. You can find that under the edit or view menu I can't remember. Then click on the Library icon so it displays the entire library. Then click on the top of the Date Added column heading so it arranges the library songs with the newest added listed at the top. That way I can be sure they were added ok. :)
