What are these Files
 

I just looked in New files added, in search and I came across thease files
"LimeWireWin4.12.6-fixed" & "LimeWireWin4.12.6-nopack2" with green ticks
by them.
I cant find them in my shares, that are well organised,
In my Oppinion 4.12.6 is rubbish so why am I being forsed to share it.
Or maybe there Virus files, Can anyone give me heads up on this.:confused:

You will find in your LW preferences folder a partial LW program. This is done to help increase the speed & reliability of people updating during their installation.

Are you saying, thess exact named files are safe ? Not adds or virus.
Are they responsable for the red flashing update at the bottom of the page?
Lotr I love LimeWire, Im on 14 hours a day 7days a week (im disabled) so I love to Chat and help people get rid of bad files,but 4.12.6 has had Chat stoped or its broken completly so personaly I dont like it or want to share it
in any way.
Do they have any other function other than sharing 4.12.6,if there usfull I
wouldnt want to delete them.

I'm not sure about those ones you listed (odd titles :confused:.) Sounds like someone is sharing something else ... I have no idea. All I know is the concept about the helping updates. But this has been within the program for a while now ... at least start of year.

Chat ... I'm not sure. Perhaps the development of the network ... has made the chat feature even more obsolete. Other than a small change in the chat interface, afaik the actual chat function has never been improved since it was originally added as a feature.

I found them in .NetworkShare Mistry no more.
Sad about the Chat Though.

I do know there's been chit chat amongst the devs & contributors about an improved chat system ... perhaps different to now .... but if or when that should happen I don't know. AFAIK purely talk so far.
