Anyone noticed new mozilla update affecting forum connection?

Is it just me(Again) got new mozilla update,I now have to log in everytime to forum(I always use ''Forum'' button on LWire when it's running) before this update, if you clicked ''Forum'' you were connected and logged in Automatically,to the forum, is this settings on mozilla? had a look and a few fiddles with settings, no difference yet, any ideas guys and girls?
N2:confused:
PS noticed at bottom of forum page all codes ''on'' except html which is ''off'' would this be it? if so how do I change it?

same setting here...have you verified in the newest firefox that you have cookies enabled?

I still haven't updated to v2 yet as I am waiting for the bugs to be ironed out..and I just got an update for v1.x yesterday, so it appears they are still supporting security issues with 1.x

Hi, yes I checked first thing, cookies enabled(until firefox closes) then tried (ask every time) same result, noticed a few other things not sure I like as well. suppose will have to live with it?Doesn't appear to be in ''Saved passwords or form info''settings either. As if you type in your username then click ''remember me'' your Password comes up automatically??
N2:confused:PS yes, your probably right, to older version we must return.

You still haven't said if you are using the new 2.0 or the old 1.something. I'm using the old one and after update a day ago no prob

newbee2 November 12th, 2006 07:25 AM

Using the new 2.0,I updated a few days ago, currently going through list of add ons to see which may be affecting me,Patience is a virtue I keep telling myself! if only I'd listen! its a pain. havn't uninstalled yet but i'm tempted !
Thanks for reply,I'll also try leaving cookies alone maybe, setting is ''Until I close Firefox''

glad to hear somebody likes v2...I've heard a few rumblings to the contrary...and since I just got what I would suppose is a security update for v1.x, I'm fine with using it still..

I just updated FireFox (version 1.5.0.7 or something) & it opens up into a small box in the corner of the screen. No window. I had to do a lot of hard dragging to get the windows to show. Actually when I 1st opened it, it refused to connect. Ah ... & now it wants we to update to 1.5.0.8
It seems like I've updated it about 3 times in the past few times I've logged on. Ok this one seems to open up properly for a change.

newbee2 November 12th, 2006 04:03 PM

Hi Folks
Gone back to version 1.5.0.1 and lo and behold automatic login to forum again,
Didnt like new 2.0 ,got to work out how to get the right balance, will start updating and keep you posted, will it update only one version at a time i wonder? Have updated java but noticed a few freezes very short etc with new 2.0 especially when using forum????
N2
PS Am using all addons except 1 which isn't compatable with 1..5.

newbee2 November 12th, 2006 05:01 PM

Right, just updated to 1.5.0.8. and still get automatic login to forum,no problems using all addons , so it MUST be the new 2.0 version and something else(Maybe) anyway going to stick to .1.5.0.8 for now!!
N2:xirokrotima:
PS noticed with new version, much less able to fine tune settings ie cookies etc.. here lies the problem i suspect,a backward step.

I use FF (Firefox) 1.5.0.8 and since it has recently been updated, my splash extention is a bit glitched. Since I told FF (in previous versions like perhaps 1.5.0.7 or before) to automatically save my password for this forum, whenever I go to this forum, I'm automatically signed in (which is a big help, considering the fact I constantly forget passwords).

You can check what version of FF you're using by clicking on the Help tab and then clicking About Firefox. It'll then give you your current version as of the last update.
