Try EAC (Exact Audio Copy) it's the best program for both ripping and burning. A bit complicated but so worth it. Just follow the guides that you find on Google and if you still have questions then post back in this thread :)

Whenever I burn CDs using WMP, I just let it burn. I don't try listening to the music. Only when the burn is finished do I listen to the CD, since I'm checking to make sure my burn turned out ok. I have had some problems with some burns I did in the past (not from LW, but from other sources), but I found that WMP is the best for CD burns, imo. Originally, I was burning LW songs in .wma format, but now I burn 'em in .mp3 format (after downloading the WMP bonus pack).

good point, if you go with mp3's you can get 200 songs on a cd as opposed to 20 or so regs. I have switched over to itunes program for ripping cd's and to burn also. I don't even bother making cd's as I store eveything on the computer and download to my 2gb ipod which I play through the car sound system. Nice to never have music skip!!!!! I would like to find someone out there with a 200 gb hard drive full of music that they would like to sell, anyone?

Sorry, my hard drive isn't that big. It's just a 40GB.
