rar, zip, exe files
 

Hi,
I really have a hard time extracting these files even though I know the source is clean. My antivirus program always detects a virus in every zip and tar files when extracted. I dont like to think that every tar, zip, rar files shared in limewire is virus laden.

Is there a way, a trick maybe wherein I could extract these files.

it surely is possible that every one of those files you have downloaded is virii infested...try right clicking on the file and choosing bitzi lookup...

and what exactly is the message you are getting from your AV?
