I have used Limewire pro for music downloads for a while now and find wma files the most reliable. Although there are more mp3 (and recently m4a files) than wma, I normally managed to find what I was looking for....until recently when my searches find few or no wma files. Any ideas/suggestions anyone?

Many of the wma files are licenced and can not be used ... by and large mp3 are favoured, You can always google for a converter, but why you should want to I don't know. At the head of one of the forums is a sticky about pitfalls with wma files ..but I can't lay may hands on it. Have a browse and you should find it :"Things you should know bout wma files"

Thanks for the reply. I have already read the warnings for wma files. I have not had a problem. I prefer wma files because they normally exactly what they say they are and normally play ok (unlike a large proportion of mp3 files). I was wondering if anyone else was having problems finding wma files recently.
