im having problems with avi files..anyone?

im downloading avi files on limewire. but i seem to be having problems viewing them. there seems to be a codec issue. can anyone help me to identify the codecs that i will need or a download i can get to solve this thanx.

i got the gspot software but im not sure how to use ot. do i just drop the file into it?.....

All I know about Gspot is what it says in the thread. I would imagine you right click on the file, select open with ... Gspot and hopefully the rest will become evident
