 clickity click clack... yur friend (and most likely yourself) needs to clean his glass belly button.. sure...burning takes minutes... transcoding an .avi to a DVD format takes a time dependant upon your machine...I can usually transcode a 750MB file in less than an hour with my 3.01GHz machine with 2GB of RAM

| Your friend is mistaking burning data to DVD (Which takes maybe 15 minutes for a whole DVD), and converting, structuring and then burning a DVD. He may think he does that, because many DVD-players nowadays play .avi and .mpg files without having to convert them. |
