![]() Hi all, I'm new to limewire. Just have a quick Question to ask about connection speeds. I am working off a 2MB connection (2048/256 Download/upload). I am currently downloading a file from 7 hosts at a speed between 25KB/s to 50 KB/s. I am using a wireless modem router and to connect to the wireless i am using a linksys Wireles G usb adaptet with rangebooster. and the connection is excellent with a speed of 54Mb/s. Is this speed normal and is there anything that i can do to improve the speed of the download. I am using Window ME (Old i know). I have Norton Disable to make sure that nothing is blocked. If you need more info just ask. Cheers |

![]() Your download speed depends on your speed, host(s) speed, how many hosts you're downloading from etc. You can only download as fast as the sources' connections allow. Check out the first few posts of the sticky below - there are good tips for setting up LW. Configuring LW for best performance Rather than turning off Norton (I guess it's NPF you're talking about?), configure it to allow LW access ![]() http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...10&postcount=6 |
