Question uninstall failed

i am a new limewire user{free} and it seems I have two applications of limewire running on my computer. I wanted to uninstall them and re-install because i really like the program. I went to uninstall but all that happened was the desktop icon was removed. There are two icons still in my tray and I can still connect to livewire thru either of them but it seems one is corrupted or only partially installed. How can I remove limewire from my computer? I want to re-install it but my computer is running slow now and something is definitely screwed up. Please help!

You should uninstall LW via the 'uninstall' application, NOT via add/remove programs.

Good Luck

Unhappy uninstall failed

I did use the uninstall application not add/remove programs. Is there someway I can download uninstall since it is no longer listed in all programs?

Also, if you have a problem of 2 LW's running, then after you close one, the other one is still probably running. You'd need to control-alt-del & open process manager & look for any LimeWires listed & force them all to quit before uninstalling. Search your computer for all possible LW's.

Reinstalling will uninstall other version at beginning of installation process. However before you do, make sure there is no LW listed as running in the process manager. BTW There's 2 locations you can find the uninstaller: Start menu > Programs > LW > Uninstall. And also within the program folder.
