how to direct connect
 

i want to send a ip for direct connect to another limwire user and where in limewire would it show my ip to send to the person?

Go to the search page, click on the Direct Connect tab (below Keyword). You should see your IP followed by LW's listening port number.

For direct connect to work, both you & your friend should have chat enabled & not be firewalled. If either of you sees the firewall icon, direct connect won't work.
