Problems with community
 

I got 1.7c because the newer limewire sux and it has the specific community connection choices like south america and austrailia, europe ex.....but they never can connect!!! How can I make them work. I want to connect to south american servers (hosts) and get spanish music! But the thing says connecting and then failed! EVER TIME! PLEASE HELP ME!!

I used to use this all the time and connected (most of the time).

I use a later version now.

If it fails - just try again and again, because the netwrok constanly changes. Sometimes it says failed to connect, but if your patient it will connect - it just takes a little time.

The new LW version doesn't suck , you just have to alter the limewire.props file to force it to do what you want .

And that tab with per region or type communities never worked decently in the first place .
Sometimes it did mostly not .

Spanish hosts is not an guarantee for spanish music , they could just has much be uploading porn , warez and heavy metal .

And if you don't like 2.0 because the ads , there are easy ways to counter that , look at the pop up ads trhead .
