Adp. Exe

I was loading on limewire 2.02 for quite a while, then my firewall showed the message "would you allow ADP.EXE". I denied and searched the the exe file on my computer. I found it in an own order and saw that this ADP.EXE file has exactly the same installation date like the the limewire installation date.

What is ADP.EXE?

Spyware junk ...

You didn't uncheck the so callled "add-ins" when you installed LW .

However CyDoor (another piece of spy-junk) gets installed anyway with LW .

I chose not to install the spy-ware crap, yet it still installs adp, bargain buddy, and clicktuwhatever..

I used to defend Limewire, knowing that they need to generate revenue to continue developing this service. But when they start installing all this crap on my machine, I find myself thinking there must be a better, less intrusive program out there.

I am sure they will say it's harmless, and doesn't send any non-generic information back to their servers or anything - but I have had clients who's computers have gone to complete sh!t because of these programs - and it costs them big bucks to have me out there fixing it, believe you me.
