Try completly deleting vlc, use vlc uninstaller, n check C drive, Application data folder for vlc folder if its there, Delete it then reinstall.

If you learn to use (Bitzi Lookup) most all childrens files are well reported
If its not reported in bitzi leave it till it is. If you just click the back button
above you will see full instructions for Using BITZI in one of the Red Stickies
If that dont fix it shout.
Peace.

I haven't used VLC, so I can't help with that. I also would advise using Bitzi...it sounds like you're just getting fake files. Here's a few links that may help:

Info on fake files

How to filter porn & spam

Good Luck :Smilywais:

P.S. It doesn't do any good to post in multiple forums. Could you please delete your other post that's exactly the same? Thanks!

Feel free to call me anything you like, but for the record its not tony
LimeWire will display what ever you set as defult on your Computer.
In L/W Library, highlight a file, click on explore bottom left, then that
will bring up Windows folder, Right click on file, choose open with, highlight
player u wish to use, TICK the box to allways open with that program,
Refresh folder, re start LimeWire.
Peace.

The reason for seeing the traffic cones is that you have VLC as your default media player...VLC is one of the best, so I recommend you keep it..
I would definatley run another spyware and AV scan just to be sure, there are a list of good free online ones you can try (listed in the sticky)...Try to avoid wmv and mov files from now on..
What you should know about WMA and WMV Files
Have a look at this sticky as it has a lot of info on what to stay away from and as the guys suggested always use Bitzi, at least until you get the hang of things...:rolleyes_2:
