We need some more details about your system & your set up. How many files are you sharing for example. System details - help us to help you (click on link)

Have you tried a SAFE Boot & Repair Permissions. Have you tried deleting your LW prefs folder whilst LW is CLOSED? This folder is found here: /Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire
