The rumor is, LIMEWIRE plans to start using DRM FILTERING. Is this true or are they just trying to ruin my day?:yikes:

LW has allowed YOU to block unlicensed files, but you have to turn it on in the options.

Sounds like your day is fine, and it was just a garbled rumour.

The source of the rumor would be my friends. I was just looking at the FROSTWIRE web site and they seem to confirm my fears, LIMEWIRE is considering DRM FILTERING, thus FROSTWIRE. Thank YOU for your responce

Ah. LW WAS considering such a move, and so the Frostwire project began as a way of maintaining the open spirit of the LW project.

LW did NOT force the filtering, and the Frostwire project continues to update with the newest LimeWire code. Both projects deserve support.
