Any Ideas? After recently checking a new download on limewire I was redirected to a web page which said "warning , your activities have been logged" There was a list containing my IP address and the time I had been directed to the site. Further down the page was a link to a google pack download page. I tried again with a similar download and got the same result (thay were both short Anime clips for movies I was looking for, nothing freaky or anything!) both of the clips were Quicktime so I checked other Wuicktime files but they seemed to be OK. I've never encountered this problem before , was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this? |
Sounds like it could of been spam, but it could also contain Malware... You should get rid of those files and do a system scan with your antivirus and spyware apps... Here are a list of free ones that are excellent... http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showpo...24&postcount=2 You also need to be really careful with the files you download, always check their sizes and file formats.... What you should know about WMA Files WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! |
Unfortunately have lots of blonde moments! Got rid of the files immediately after i saw the web page , checked my system, seems fine. Never came across something like this before on limewire but all my instincts said SCAM! Just wanted to be thorough, Thanx for the info. |
i had the same problem, also with Quicktime files. I also scanned my computer and id seemed to be ok. i wonder what i could have been. Have you had a similar problem after that. It's really scary when that message shows. |
