By stopping the sharing of your files, does that prevent you from getting caught/ sued? or can you still get caught.?

You should find out what your local laws are, regarding down/uploading of copyrighted files. Google will be able to help you there;)

Or else, use the forum search to look for legal, legality or something similar.
