1. Burning an audio CD from your MP3's

2. Make sure your WMP has the right codecs. The earlier versions did not come with an mp3 codec. See CODECs list and alternate players for Movies. For mp4/m4a I believe you need a codec like 3ivx (click on link). You also need to enable the codecs in WMP's options. Using windows media player. You could also try another burner program like iTunes

thanx a lot im new 2 all this stuff i dont have a clue LOL i was onto dell tech support and they downloaded wmp classic my films on 95% now i cant preview it due 2 wmp not playing it so i have 2 wait til its finished!!!! keepin my fingers crossed will avg pick up any faults with the files on limewire??

Lord of the Rings May 11th, 2007 10:24 AM

WMP can be such a pain! We always recommend VLC - (click on link) _ (choose nearest mirror site) as a video player (can also play audio files but can not burn). VLC has in-built codecs & there are not too many file types it can't play. ;)

Can you Edit the name's of your programs please. To This ****NO names are allowed on fourms.

Secondly
Would not Trust download any kinda Zip file or programs from LW Because they most likely have a virus or worms or are corrupted.

Read this About Worms And Virus

sorry didnt know u couldnt put the name on , so all the program files are pretty much a virus just waiting 2 b downloaded i cant get any of them that r safe i have AVG its resonably good at picking up stuff i got 2 worms b 4 from another file shraing program that crashed my whole realplayer just been v careful this time are exe, rar files safe if they're over 1MB??

Xcom46 May 12th, 2007 06:36 AM

I still would not trust a download of the game.
any thing is a risk.even if you download something like for say 2mb
it still could be a virus or worm it's a risk your going to have to take.
And AVG works well but do's not get every thing. And RaR File's are not safe even if it's 1mb trust me i should no i downloaded that was a rar and Deleted my whole hardrive had to do a full re boot.It sssucked.

can you fix that post above please.

I looked at the advice given to other ppl with the same problem and it said to right click and 'add to playlist' but for some reason i dont have this option!! any other ideas??

Thanks alot.... :laugh_2:

dee232007 May 12th, 2007 10:05 AM

strange

sounds weird !! maybe ur itunes settings are wrong did u change any of ur settings??

Lord of the Rings May 12th, 2007 10:51 AM

It sounds to me like you're trying to burn from the LW playlist seen in iTunes. That playlist can be played but not copied or burnt. It simply reflects the song files in LW's download folder. So ... to get the songs properly into iTunes, see How to transfer music to my iPod (& iTunes) & after which you should see the songs in the iTunes main Library. The library icon at the top of all the playlists is the important one.

Also, & dee232007 also, set your iTunes burning preferences to minimum speed. Some CD's don't burn reliably at maximum speed. I think the default is to burn at maximum speed so change it to a slower speed. Also check the speed abilities of your CD as a reference & choose the minimum it can burn at. Another wise thing to do is get decent brand CD-R's. The really cheap ones are definitely not reliable for playback & can give distortion in background or not play back all songs. The cheap ones tend to age quickly too. eg: after 6-12 months deteriorate in listening quality. Thus, best to pay a little extra & get good brand CD-R's.

AFAIK it's supposed to be good. We also recommend these ones: 1. ad-ware (FREE), __ 2. Spybot - Search & Destroy (FREE), & for home invasion spying this one 3. Peerguardian (FREE). Adware & Spybot are both good. I can't remember which one I normally use but it's good.

dee232007 May 12th, 2007 04:34 PM

thanx again
