Hello Everyone & Help Please - Why is Everything Downloading in Quick Movie?
 

Hi there

I'm new to this forum so firstly I'd like to say hello to everyone and secondly I'd like to ask you all for some help.

Can anyone please tell me why all of a sudden everything that I download seems to be in quick movie, which I can't watch and don't want to use.

I have used limewire on many occasions and not really had many problems but for the last couple of days everything from songs to videos ends up as a quick movie file?????

Can anyone please help me out with this please as it's driving me mad.

I presume that you need to change your default player.

Right-click a file. Select properties. You should be able to select which program you want to open that type of file.

Thanks for that but it's when the list of all the files is displayed as well - that's the only type of file displayed. Before I'd have windows media player etc. but not now - very annoying.

Also when I do click on the particular download and select it or even try to change it to another problem it won't work and I still can see it.

Please can somebody help me out with this as it's driving me crazy.

The icon you see is what your computer uses as it's default player...follow these steps and you should see the icon for WMP...

To make WMP your default player
Go to your shared folder (outside of Limewire) you will find this folder by clicking on one of your files in your LW library and clicking explore...

Right click on one of your files
Select open with
Select choose program
select WMP
and tick the box that says always use this program to open this file type
Select OK
