Default Save to hard drive?

Hi,
when you are using limewire, and files are on limewire, does downloading them automatically store them on your hard drive? And if you delete them in the limewire window are they still on the computer somewhere?

Hi Junior Member Yagamon

Your question is very easy to answer, i.e.

Yes it does, after all where else are the files going to go.

And

No, the files are gone. I believe that the current version of LW may put your deleted files in windows waste basket but I am not sure on this point. However, with older versions of LW if you deleted files from the Library they were gone, the only way to get them back was with an "undelete utility".

What you have to remember is that the LW library, both "Shared" and "Incomplete" folders, are just another way of looking at those same files that exist in your Windows Explorer directories, i.e. two ways of looking at the same files/folders/directories.

So, if you delete a file from your LW library it is also deleted from Windows Explorer (and your hard drive) and likewise if you delete a files from Windows Explorer it will vanish from LW's library.

Hope this helps.
