Range Unavailable & Downloading PRO
 

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me what 'Range Unavailable' means in the
Monitor>Uploads>Status column?
Also, does anyone know if I can download LW Pro whilst DL/UL ing "stuff" or should I clear the decks before upgrading?

Sorry. When limewire is on the forums dont fully load on my browser. I had to close LW and the incomplete post got posted. Tried to delete but don't know how. My mistake. Apologies.

IC....well, I honestly forget the ol' range unavailable aspect, but I can tell you that you will indeed have to shut down LW to do the upgrade...of course you can download the program, but you WILL have to shutdown LW to do the new install...

its nice to see a person who is actually apologetic about a possible bad thing....rare...very rare...kudos to you!

you shouldn't loose any incomplete files while upgrading...but you just might loose your slot with the person supplying it...it would be the safest to wait until downloads are complete then do the upgrade...

PRO downloaded OK. Works well now. Had problems of LW freezing and not being connected. Had to force quit several times. Stumped me for a while but disabling Ultrapeer Capabilities seems to have solved problem (os x 10.4.9).

Still hoping someone can tell me why the status of some of my uploads are "Range Unavailable" and what it means.

I'm not sure, but I think range unavailable means something on the order of the file is not currently shared, or maybe its not 'verefied'....perhaps it has something to do with the real IP address of the host not being what's listed on your search...
