why is this LW basic + LW Pro speed

why is it that limewire pro's downloading speed no faster than basic isn't that false advertisement or is there somewhere on limewire's page that states that there is no Guarantees you will get no faster download speed if not thay should:almostupset:

The download speed depends on various factors (general internet traffic at any given time, number of file hosts, files hosts' LW configuration, etc.)

LW Basic allows you to connect to 3 Ultra Peers whereas LW Pro allows you to connect to 5 Ultra Peers, which should eventually give you a better download speed.

So, it's rather not a fails advertisement, it's more a lack of knowledge of users....

no I get the max for having dial up but it's the same 5to6 KB/s but it seems like it would do better sence thay say faster download's I have tried every thing so far

Just because your internet connection runs only at 56k doesn't meant that the statement made by LW is "intentionally" fails !!

The built-in function for connecting to 5 Ultra Peers allows users to get a better download speed with pro than with basic....period !!

If that is technically not possible cause you are already limited to only 5-6 KB doesn't change this fact !

then how can I get more?

foolofthehill August 25th, 2007 02:41 AM

Upgrading to a faster internet connection (Broadband/Adsl)....

If there is no broadband/adsl in your region, I know of GSM internet access using a USB-connected modem via "internet-mobile" cards that connect with some 256 kbps which would give you at least some 20-25KB...

From the side of the application you run already on the max. possible....
