corrupted files

I am having trouble making a backup CD, many of the files say corrupted or unreadable and will not burn. I am using Pinnacle 8.3.0.8 burning a Data Disk

. does anybody elsehave this trouble?
Or can anybody help me with this??

By the way I am a NUBIE

I am using WXP SP2
2.65 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
8 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache 448 MB of RAM
I don't know what else to put down
And I am having a terrable time trying to get logged into the forum. I hope i can get back??
