Default Music Videos Problems

Hi all!

I am new to this...and not very knowledgeable about the in's and outs' so be gentle and VERY specific in your responses please!... I have gotten as far as downloading video files into my ITunes from Limewire.. however, when I try to transfer to my IPod, (after converting for IPod), i get the video on m Ipod just fine, but I dont get any sound... any ideas why? and what I need to get both?

Thanks!
Nancy.

Thanks for the reply. I have downloaded VLC to my computer, now what? how do I get the videos to play w/sound on my IPod once I download them? Do I still need to right-click on the video in ITunes and click on "convert to IPod?"....told ya, i'm lost here..!

Nancy

Hi Nancy,

What format are the video files? They'll need to be in either mpeg4 or H.264 format for your iPod. If the files are in another format, you'll need a converter.
Have a look at post #14 of this thread for info about adding video to iPod & links to converters, forums etc.
Transferring music to iPod & iTunes

If you're using a Mac, someone recently said that the iSquint converter was good. I'm using Windows XP & use 3GP_Converter. Videora's another free one for Windows that's popular (not sure whether these are compatible with vista, though). You'll find info about Videora & 3GP in the thread above
