Hopeless, As I Am Being Ignored!!!!(lost Pro)
 
When I try to download and run LIMEWIRE PRO, as I have done countless times, I get the message that my my EMAIL ADDRESS IS INVALID ..:mad::mad:. and THAT END IT ALL.... I have never seen this message before and I get no other messages.... I can't find LIMEWIRE or Gnutella tech or customer support! I've been a customer for years and I have no idea what is wrong. No informative messages came to me. :bangh::bangh:
WHY AM I BEING IGNORED? why won't anyone help me? I WANT MY LIMEWIRE BACK AND OPERATING AS IS HAS FOR SO MANY YEARS.:xeri_ok1ani:

tuffian its better if you post your reply on this thread instead of emailing me so that other people might be able to help you but you say you don't know how long you have had pro but you had LW for years if your last payment was over 6 months ago then your free up dates are over.

your subscription is up when the 6 months is up so if you did not save the pro installer on an external drive you'll have ether pay again or get basic if you pay again I suggest after your 6 months or now thay got a 1 year supscription is up ether dont update or copy the pro installer to an external drive.

Is there a way to get LIMEWIRE to give me a break getting the PRO installer if I renew now>....after all ' been with thm for years ...... is there any way for me to save any money....... I need surgery and my pills cost a fortune....

the installer you get to install it is in your program files then you copy to a external drive.

that's OK a lot of people have the same problem limewire could make that part clear by stating somthing like after the 6 months or 1 year is up you have to pay for any more or just stick with the one you got. that would be nice

I don't know how to start over or even if I must....I don't understand why I just can't reinstall and if I must pay, I will pay but if I start over all those songs I had listed will be gone?

Would you suggest that I buy the reload process, pro with all the updates and hope I get my listed music anyway. For a guy with an MA degree, I feel dumb and awkward. If Limewire had sent me any renewal notice, I'd have renewsed as a matter of routine, but I got nothing until I tried to relaod. Then I got than message that my email address was INVALID> I still don't know what that's about of what is the best thing you might suggest now? I am grateful for any input>

Your downloads are saved to your computer. Providing you haven't changed the location for saving to somewhere silly (eg within program files), your files will be safe if you reinstall LW. To check - in LW go tools > options > saving. The default location for saving (Windows) is C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Shared...that's a safe location:)

When you buy Pro from the official site www.limewire.com your email address is added to the database. Once your Pro is more than 6 months or a year old, depending how long you've bought Pro for, your email address will be removed from the database unless you buy Pro again. Your email address will only be in the database if you've bought Pro from the official site.

When your Pro is getting close to expiring, you'll see a notice on your Pro personal download page...offering you a small discount to renew Pro;)

Your email address will show as invalid if your Pro was bought from anywhere apart from the official site or if if your Pro benefits are out of date. If you didn't ever recieve an email from LW, how did you download Pro to begin with? Have you been able to update Pro since you bought it? If so, how did you update? When did you buy Pro & who did you pay for Pro?
When you buy Pro, you recieve an email from LW containing a link to your Pro personal download page & that's where you download from.

It's up to you whether you buy Pro again or stick to the basic (free) version. Did you find the location of your saved folder? If your saved folder's in the default location, or another safe location, you can reinstall LW without losing any of your saved files. What version of Pro were you using before you were prompted to update?

eugene about the installer go to my computer/your local disk like mine is presario (c:) then click program files then click limewire then .networkshare and the installers are in there thay should be click/open the virsion you want back.

To all you Gurus out there,

I am a newbie to these foroums. I recently upgraded to Pro 4.18 through a third party (file only) and I am unable to access LW support because I do not have the e-mail address "used to purchase Limewire Pro"? Any ideas how i can register with LW??:blink:

If you didn't buy from the official site (payment to LimeWire LLC) then you're not eligible for Pro support from the official site;)

There's no registration as such... when you pay LimeWire LLC for Pro, your email address goes into the database so that it's recognised until your Pro benefits run out. But if you've bought Pro from a scam site, your email address won't ever go into the database & so it won't be recognised.

Too good to be true...
 
I actually got the .exe file from an Ebay Store for a couple of bucks (see link below); I thought I was getting the full gambit (i.e. support and all), but after reading the ad again, I see that those features are inconspiquosly missing?? I guess the old saying is true :"If it looks too good to be true than it probably isn't"
