Is there really any noticeable difference using Pro 4.12 vs 4.14?

I am looking at the speed and search factors mostly. I am using a cable ISP but I foud 4.12's turbo charge speed an over rated selling point.

I don't mind paying for better if in fact it is better.

Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

4.14 can handle torrents. I haven't noticed any difference search-wise, there's no difference in the number of ultrapeers that you connect to. Nor is there any difference in the maximum number of hosts that you can download from.

You can always try the basic version first & see if you like any of the changes. Have a look around the forum...use the forum search & you'll get some idea of what people think of the latest LW.

Just remember...if you're seeing the update prompt within LW & choose the option to update, you'll update to a basic version. So, unless you've saved the 4.12 Pro installer you'll lose that version
