I don't fully understand what you are saying here but if you deleted the files in the Limewire Library then they are Gone. Never delete files from Limewire unless you want to redownload them. If you have a different situation please post back. :D

i moved them to another location in my computer, and forgot to do so by copy and pasting :blushing: so there is no way to put them back into my limewire library? i still have them in my computer, just seemed to have completely moved from lime

Oh, try this. Go to Tools > Options > Saving. Type in new folder location, click apply and OK.

thankyou ... thought that isn't quite what i did ... when i copied the music files back to limewire i ended up with a different folder called individually shared:confused:...now i have all the extra music that was sent to me from friends in there too ... all my music is back into limewire:cool: ... and a folder in lime saying shared files of the most recently downloaded ... seems all are available for sharing though :Smilywais: ... not sure what individually shared files means but i will take it anyway :P ... it's nice to have my whole collection of music in one place :D

It means you have selected not to share some files in one of the folders you are sharing. Those in the individually shared are ones that "are" being shared. Keep in mind you can right click files in the library window & choose whether to share or not, same applies to folders.

Look I am so pissed, I have done this over and over again and its not working. I have downloaded 156 music files and I want to move all the audio files to my music file that is location in my c: drive in my doc folder. But each time I do it the music is gone. Its not in the my music nor is it in my library on limewire!!! The only way I can see my audio files is when I restore to default settings. OS is XP

My advice then is to not add the music to your media player until you have moved the song files to your Music folder. Problem with players such as WMP is that it is a playlist player. A playlist contains no music, it simply points the player to where the song files were when they were added to the playlist. So if you are adding them to the playlist, then moving them, the media player won't be able to locate them.

For fast & easy access to your download folder, go to your LW Library window, select Saved Files folder & press the Explore button. Sample image here: Using Library Explore button to access downld folder (click on link) & the folder will open up for you. Select specifically Music when you do this just in case. Then move them to your Music folder, then add them to the media player.

In the meantime, open your media player which I presume is WMP, then use the Search for all media files option so you can re-add your missing songs to the player. Using windows media player
