Newbie Please Help? (problem viewing downloads)
 
Ok let's start by saying HELLO to everyone , i am new to all of this and feel like a donk at the moment !
Firstly i have downloaded everything that i should have , successfully downloaded 3 films that took a long time:idea:, but when they are 100 % i lauch them , and that takes me into media screen , i can hear the film going on but can't see anthing , the only i can see is a load of pretty striking colourful waves floating around the screen :shoot:

Am i doing anything wrong ??????????????????????????????????????
any help would be great thanks:o

It's probably a codec problem. WMP is a Pain. See link below. Has a lot of great info.

CODECs list for Movies/Audio/ Alternate players / Video help forums/ video-mp3 fixers

Also might take a look at VLC Media Player, has codec built in, and will play most anything.

And lastly, ALWAYS use Bitzi when searching for Video Files.

many thanks for that follwed your advice and just downloaded codec's and it's brought a picture to my downloads , but two of them have no sound now! NIGHTMARE !!
What are the hard and fast rules whentrying to download a film to watch on sreen? i was told to look for a "AVI" , to put name of film followed by "ENG" afterwards for english and to look at size of film , anything else i should belooking or other sites that are better to obtain films to watch on my computer?

oh god real embarrassing now what's the best "type" to use whenselecting films ?, is it zip, html, wma, mp3, mpg etc

TA, AVI Files are one of the safest files to dn/ld. As far as the ones you just posted, all should be filtered out with the exceptions of mp3. The other extensions are loaded with Spam, Adware, Worms, and Viruii.

Click the link above on how to find music and video. This will explane what Bitzi is all about. You can check the quality of a video file here and read how other members rated the file. It's great to keep from downloading a fake or corrupt file.

As far as WMP Still not working?? Well I gave you my opinion on that. VLC is the quick fix instead of using that other piece of CRAP.
