Appearing as Disk Problem... Hi, I've had Limewire installed on my computer for about a year and a half now. Just a month ago, whenever I tried to download something, my search results would come up fine, but when I tried to double click on a file name to download it, it would come up in the active download box saying 100% downloaded, but with "Disk Problem". I recently moved and changed from one cable network to another, but all my information would have stayed the same within my computer. So I tried to solve my problem by downloading the new Basic Version, but my problem persists. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, as I am in need! Thanks. |
Defragmenting the HDD has helped some people with this issue;) Are you running low on HDD space? Have a look at this thread, there are links within to more threads about disk problem. Disk Problem |
How would I free up space on my hard drive - just by deleting some of my previously downloaded songs? And how would I know if I had low HDD space? (Sorry if I seem a tad computer illiterate, lol). |
Go to Start > My Computer > right click on C drive > properties. That will show you how much HDD space you have left. If you're low on disk space, try using something like CCleaner(freeware). You can also do a disk cleanup (All Programs > Accessories > System Tools) & a defrag won't hurt. If you're desperately low on space, you might have to think about getting rid of some files from your computer or getting another HDD. |
Alright, thank you. I think it worked, we'll see :p |
