As long as you configure Norton to give Limewire full access, there shouldn't be a problem.

Make sure your not useing 2 firewalls. MS Vista & Norton together, as they will conflict with each other. Also check your router/modem for a firewall as some have them also.

Try Free Limewire Basic first, to see how it's going to act or respond. Buying Pro will NOT make a difference if you can't get Basic to work.

Hope This Helps.

Default vista and limewire

I don't know which firewall to disable...Norton or ms vista. I get these aggravating notices that one is disabled. I installed limewire on my repaired windows xp laptop. Works fine...itunes as well. Should I just go go with that? I'm in a period of readjustment with the new one with vista.
thanks, mstarr

I would disable the Windows Firewall and configure Norton to full access for Limewire.

I would use the one that's working at the moment. I personally think Vista is still very young and probably has some bugs and issues that need to be worked out.

I won't go there until I have to.

Unhappy

Thanks, Remoc. I'm with you on that. I've got another question for you. I can't open links in windows mail. Keep getting "application not found". Set windows mail as default in default programs. Any suggestions?

Don't know what Windows Mail is. I use MS Outlook and a few others.
